Yum Yum Bars

Yum Yum Bars

2 C flour                                                                      1 C flaked coconut

½ C butter                                                                   ½ C chopped nuts

½ C brown sugar                                                         2 T flour

3 eggs                                                                          ¼ t baking powder

1 ¾ C brown sugar                                                      1 t vanilla

¼ t salt

Mix flour, butter and ½ C brown sugar and press firmly into the bottom of a sprayed jelly roll pan. Combine the remaining ingredients. Mix well and spread over the crust. Bake at 175°C (350°F) for 20 minutes.


This easy to make recipe is really good. From what I can gather, almost everyone’s Mom made Yum Yum Bars. They are a favorite of kids of all ages. Turns out, they’re easy to make and now are a favorite of this ancient kid! I’ll bet you have some Yum Yum stories. Will you share them with me?
